Last Saturday before we headed off to Skye and Matt's wedding we got a call from Tania, who wanted to change the time for her engagement shoot with fiancé Darren. It seemed Darren had a bad cold, and as a result they wanted to head back to Tamworth a little earlier, so our scheduled time of 4.00pm on Sunday wouldn't suit.
We had scheduled the shoot for 4.00pm because as many of you will know, we love the twilight and sunset... it really is the magic hour for photography. The alternative of the middle of the day wasn't great due to the expected harsh light, so we decided to start at dawn, and meet them at Emerald Beach at 5.50am.
I must say that this was an enormous sacrifice for me, because if you don't know, my two weaknesses in life are pizza and American College Football. Oh, and Snack chocolate blocks... and good coffee... hmmm.... Anyway, college football is a big deal to me! The first game of the 2011 college football season for my favourite team started at 2.20am, and would not be finished until after 6am, so it was a real sacrifice to rearrange the shoot! Of course Tania and Darren didn't know that, just Mary Ann who was telling me that clients come before football, and the sooner I learned that this season the better!
Suffice it to say that after spending the dawn with Tania and Darren I was VERY happy that we had rescheduled the shoot, as you will see from the photos. Enjoy!

Wow! What amazing light! It only lasted for a few minutes but it was SO worth heading down early! It was another lovely memory of Emerald Beach for Tania and Darren, who had actually got engaged only a few metres from where these images were taken. Thanks Tania and Darren for being prepared to get up so early!
