You may remember Tania and Darren from their awesome dawn engagement shoot that we had at Emerald Beach last month. Well last weekend their wedding date arrived, and we were out in Tenterfield for their big day! Tenterfield is Tania's home town, and it was great to travel out there and see the gorgeous country that surrounds the town.
Tania was getting ready at the gorgeous Sylvan Park historic property, and it was wonderful to be able to work in such a beautiful location.
Around Sylvan Park are some lovely gardens, and we took advantage of them to get some images with the girls.
Meanwhile, the boys were getting ready at Glenrock Gardens, the famous garden property of Carolyn and Peter Robinson, which has been featured on Better Homes and Gardens and in many gardening books and blogs. The Robinsons are in the process of preparing the property for sale, and in fact Tania and Darren's wedding will be the last held there before the sale.
Darren and the boys were getting ready at a small house at the rear of the property, and the walk through the gardens to their location was a splendour of colour and greenery.
The ceremony was to be held on a raft anchored under a large willow tree on the edge of the main ornamental lake in the gardens, and The boys waited there for the arrival of the girls, who were driven to the property in a pair of classic cars.
Afterwards, we took the opportunity for some photographs in the gardens and then around Tenterfield itself.
The reception was held in Glenrock Gardens in a large marquee, and was a great event with some very touching (and funny) speeches from the bridal party and parents. The informal structure of the reception made for a great atmosphere, and it was a pleasure to see Tania and Darren enjoying their night so much!
Congratulations Tania and Darren! We loved sharing your day with you and we can't wait to show you the rest of your images! Thanks also for giving us the opportunity to visit Tenterfield and experience your hospitality!

I stumbled on this site due to a sudden urge to say hello to the memory of my long sold Minolta XE-1 (which I still hanker for despite using Nikons for 30-odd years) of amateur photography. Not only did I find a fellow Minolta man -- a fanatic one at that --I was also very happy to know he's now a very very accomplished professional photographer. The photographs were stunning, unbelievably rich in detail, mood and composition, the muted colours suited the occasions so well. Congratulations...not only to the happy couples, but also to the talented man who preserved the happy moments for all eternity.
