Merwil and Brandon's Wedding!

When we first met with Merwil and Brandon we were excited about their wedding, because Merwil had a real vision for what she wanted, and we recognised that it would make for great photos! We were already booked for her day, but thankfully the studio's second photography team, Graeme and Jade, were available. As a result it was them who got to have all the fun!

Now just a quick warning! As I said Merwil had a real vision for what she wanted..... everything orange! Accordingly, if you don't like orange, best skip this post! :o)

Merwil looked amazing! Brandon also looked great in possibly the brightest suit we've ever seen on a groom!

With a suit that bright sunglasses were definitely the order of the day! 

Merwil and Brandon were being married on the lawns at Opal Cove resort, and even the ceremony decorations were fitting into the theme!

Then it was off for some photos!

Merwil's son was the star of the photoshoot!

Then it was back to Opal Cove for the reception. The room had been decorated by the wonderful Margaret from Special Occasions, and looked amazing!

And how's this for the coolest ever cake topper!

Afterwards Merwil and Brandon had organised our fun "Crazybooth" for the reception and Graeme and Jade got some super fun photos. You'll have to wait until next week to see those, but here's a teaser!

Hannah and Nathan's country wedding!

Regular visitors might remember Hannah and Nathan from their engagement photoshoot back in March. Well their day had finally arrived so we trekked up to their property at Ulmarra (just north of Grafton) for their wedding! Hannah and Nathan had chosen to have the entire event on the property, which looked lush and green, and very, very country.

When we arrived the boys put the icing on the cake by meeting us on horseback for some photos.

Nathan looked awesome on his horse!

Meanwhile the girls were getting ready at Hannah's father's property.

And the shoes?

Hannah looked amazing, and the boys were very impressed to see her arrive on her trusty farm steed...

After the wedding and the family formals it was time for some photos with the bridal party!

Thanks Hannah and Nathan for such a wonderful day! We had an AWESOME time at your wedding, it was such a great day and such a gorgeous location. Can't wait to show you the rest of your images!

Danielle and Will's Trash the Dress Session!

When we first met with Danielle and booked her wedding photography she was very excited about the prospect of having a trash the dress shoot, after seeing some of our previous ones on the blog. She booked it at the same time she booked the wedding, and so we knew on their wedding day that we would be meeting up again a few days later for some more photos. As it happened, on their wedding day it started raining straight after their ceremony, and so where we might normally be organising a dry location to take good photos, we simply took a few in the rain and then headed off to the reception early so they could spend as much time as possible with their family and friends.

Afterwards we thought that we might do something special for their second shoot, so we got in touch with the amazing Margaret and Peter from Special Occasions Wedding and Event Styling. Margaret and Peter were able to organise a truckload (quite literally) of lanterns and other lights for us to do something unique and amazing for Danielle and Will. We started with some fun shots in a field, and then headed off to our special location where a surprise was waiting for them!

Then as the sun fell below the horizon we showed them what we had arranged, much to their delight!

Now given we had organised the evening shoot, we had to reschedule the trash the dress session for the following day. I wanted something pretty special for Danielle so we arranged to meet at the beach at dawn! Given dawn was at 5.30am it was really early for us, but I really feel for local makeup artist Cal who had offered to get up even earlier to do Danielle's waterproof makeup! Cal's great and does beautiful makeup, she doesn't have a website but you can contact her on 0413 126 409.
