On Saturday we photographed the wedding of Kurt and Claire from Melbourne. Kurt first saw Dorrigo when on tour with his band and he fell in love with the gorgeous countryside. He later showed it to Claire and they decided that it would be a perfect location for them to tie the knot. On Saturday the location lived up to its potential with a beautiful warm sunny day for their wedding! The girls were getting ready at the Dorrigo Hotel, which gave us some opportunities for shots on its great balconies.
Claire looked amazing with hair by Bellisimo Brides and makeup by Cal. She was ably attended by bridesmaids Sarah and Ashleigh.
Kurt and Claire chose us after falling in love with our photographic style, and Claire particularly likes the way that we process some of our images to grungify them and make them really cool looking. As a result I've been a little experimental with some of their images - I hope you like them Claire!
Here's Kurt and the groomsmen Chris and Scott.
The wedding was conducted on a beautiful property named Mossgrove just outside Dorrigo, and was conducted by one of Kurt and Claire's close friends. Before the wedding Claire was a little nervous and while Kurt seemed more relaxed at that stage he was very emotional as he gave his vows - it was a very touching service!
After the wedding everyone relaxed a little and we got some wonderful photos in the grounds of Mossgrove.
Then it was off to the reception with a few stops on the way for photos!
Finally it was time for us to leave but before we departed we decided to do a homage to the classic painting by Grant Wood, American Gothic. It is regarded as one of the most parodied images in modern art, such as in the opening scenes of Rocky Horror Picture Show - I hope you like it!
Thanks Claire and Kurt! We had a great time with you - even when I stepped in the cow dung. :o\ We're so jealous of your honeymoon - Imagine spending six months travelling around Australia! Wow! Thanks for the chance to spend your day with you!

We have been waiting with anticipation for the posting of Claire and Kirt's wedding pics. Great photography!
It was so special for us to host the wedding in our garden. The day was perfect and the wedding ceremony was a beautiful experience.

It was wonderful to finally see the faces of two people I had much communication with at the beginning of their marriage plans. I am so pleased your plans went so well and that Tara was finally accepted as a Celebrant prior to your wedding date. Congratulations to both of you and I wish you all the very best - have a wonderful honeymoon.

Beautiful images!! I love your "style"!! (and I'm not biased just because the marriage celebrant Tara is my sister ;) . . . Congratulations to Kurt and Claire on a lovely wedding! . . . A question for Antony and Mary Ann: how do you manage to get through processing so many pictures while giving each one its own personal look and feel, in such a short time (a few days?)...do you have a team of Photoshopers working around the clock or do you really process each image yourselves? ...must be tied sleepless to the computer from Sunday to mid-week, no?
Great work & cheers,
