North Coast Photography - Beautiful wedding photography on the Coffs Coast

Tina and Heang's family photoshoot

Tina and Heang are from Sydney and will be getting married in Coffs Harbour in September. Given they were in town to meet all of their wedding vendors we were delighted to meet with them and take them and their two year old son Jaiden on a family photoshoot. 

 

 

Jaiden was a lovely boy, and we had loads of fun with him. Here are a few of the shots.

Heang had also mentioned that he and Tina had very few shots of the two of them together. Of course we had to remedy that!

 

As the sun went down the light became soft and the sky filled with colour. This time of day is my favourite time for photography.

Jacqui and Tom's wedding at Copmanhurst!

Jacqui and Tom's wedding was special to us because their engagement shoot was actually our very first post on this blog, and it accordingly represented the start of an exciting year of photography for us! As a result we were really excited to be heading out to Jacqui's family property outside of Copmanhurst for their big day!

Jacqui had planned out the day to perfection (we love organised brides!) and so when we arrived we headed off to the old farmhouse where the boys had been staying and were getting ready. When we arrived the guys were yet to get dressed, and were sitting around the dining table preparing their speeches. We got some shots of the preparations, and then Mary Ann spied their suits hanging for this great shot.

 

We were thrilled to see that Tom was a lot more relaxed in front of the camera than he had been for his engagement photos. That's one of the real advantages of an engagement photo session, it helps us get to know you better, and it helps you become a little more relaxed getting your photo taken.

Once everyone was dressed we headed out the door to the neighbouring field for some shots of the guys. I just love this one!

Then it was over to the main house where Jacqui was getting ready. She looked amazing in her gown, and her Dad Jim obviously thought so as well!

 

Jacqui's family property is situated on a ridge with a magnificent view of the Clarence River, and the ceremony was held with this amazing backdrop, under a beautiful sunny sky. It would be difficult to think of a more beautiful location, and I am certainly jealous of Jacqui's parents having this view every day!

 

Best Man Josh may have been last to get dressed but he came through when it counted.

After the wedding we took some shots around the house before heading off to an old ruined farmhouse with an amazing view upriver into the setting sun. What a great location!

 

 

Jacqui's bridesmaids were her sister Rachelle and sister in law Sarah, and they gave great support to Jacqui through the day, including agreeing to tramp through paddocks for the photos - thanks girls!

Then as we were finishing up a giant full moon appeared on the horizon, giving us the chance to capture a last few shots, including this one. We love a good dip!

Thanks Jacqui and Tom, we hope you enjoy your honeymoon in Europe, and if you decide you get sick of carrying your bags we would be thrilled to tag along - let me tell you we are very jealous! Thanks also for giving us the chance to share your day with you, it was a lot of fun and we enjoyed every minute.

Sharon and Scott's wedding!

Last weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Sharon and Scott's wedding at Aanuka Beach Resort. Sharon grew up in Woolgoolga, a town a short drive from Coffs Harbour, and while they now live in Sydney, Sharon and Scott came back to the North Coast for their big day.

We were joined on the day again by local photographer Graeme Sharkey, who will be photographing weddings for the studio as our second photographer in the 2010 wedding season - welcome aboard Graeme!

Sharon looked amazing on the day, with beautiful makeup and a magnificent dress.

 

The wedding was on the Digger's Beach Reserve adjoining the resort, and it afforded a wonderful view of the ocean for the couple and guests.

The ceremony was incredibly touching, with the highlight perhaps being Scott's obvious deep emotion when he said his vows to Sharon. It was plainly obvious just how much this couple mean to each other.

After the ceremony and the family formals it was off to Sharon's old stamping ground at Woolgoolga for some photos! Graeme captured this shot of the wedding car on the way.

Once there we took advantage of the beautiful Woolgoolga Headland for some great shots.

Didn't I say that Sharon looked amazing?

 

I am just loving shooting into the sun at the moment - it creates such a warm feel to the shots.

 

A brief pause at the water tower at the headland provided some great shots, including this lovely composition from Graeme.

After this we headed down to Woolgoolga beach for some photographs at the site of the wreck of "The Buster", a 116 year old shipwreck that has only recently been uncovered by storms which have removed a lot of the sand from the beach. The wreck has been remarkably well preserved as a result of being buried for so long.

 

 

We had a wonderful time with Sharon and Scott and their families, and we were very touched when at the end of the reception they presented us with a bottle of Moet. It's always so rewarding to share a couple's wedding day with them and know that they enjoyed themselves as much as you did. Thank you to Sharon and Scott for a fun day, we hope you like the shots as much as we do and we look forward  to sharing the rest with you!
