Lauren and Sean's Crazybooth!

On Sunday we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Lauren and Sean, a couple who our regular blog readers would have met through their engagement photo session, and the subsequent guest book which was featured on the blog.

Normally I would be putting up the photos of their wedding day now, but Lauren and Sean were the first couple to get our new "Crazybooth" for their reception, and I was excited to show off the results. As a result the wedding blog post is yet to be done, but don't worry Lauren and Sean, your photos be up on Monday! This way you get two blog posts!

The Crazybooth is a mini studio that we set up in a corner of your reception room, and is available to all couples who book us to stay through the reception. It's a load of fun for you and your guests, and can really liven up the party! We take shots of everyone, and the craziest ones make it here on the blog. Here's a few of the best shots from Sunday's Crazybooth!

Sean had some fun in the Crazybooth - here he is with Terry doing their tribute to Karate Kid.

The bridesmaids looked great in dresses made by Lauren's Mum Leonie - that's one talented Mum!

Then it was everyone else's turn to have some fun in the Crazybooth! It started with Sean's parents Anne and Bob - sorry Sean for any emotional scarring that checking out your parents kissing might bring!

Bob's kiss swept Anne off her feet, but thankfully the boys were there to catch her!

Then everyone joined in!

Remember Bec and Mike from their engagement shoot in December? Well Mike is Lauren's brother and he and Bec took a liking to the Crazybooth, with some hilarious results! First of all Bec cosied up to Grandfather, much to Mike's distress.

Then Bec showed him who was the boss. :o)

Lauren and Sean are expecting a baby later this year, and do you think Mum and Uncle Mike are excited?

Finally, just to finish it off Lauren assumed her rightful place as Wife and started by letting Sean know that she would keep him on a short leash.

Jacqui and Ben's wedding

You may remember Jacqui from a family portraiture shoot that we did for her Mum's birthday last year. We had a great time with her family then so we knew that the wedding was going to be fun too, and we had been looking forward to it!

Jacqui was getting ready at her family home, and it was lovely to see one of our photos from the family photoshoot in pride of place on the wall. I'm sure that once Jacqui's Mum Margaret sees the great images we got on Saturday that it will soon be joined by a shot from the wedding!

All of the girls looked great on the day, but there's no denying that Jacqui looked stunning. She could grace any bridal magazine. Her gorgeous bouquet was from Precious Petals, and her hair was by Hidden Image.

The wedding ceremony was held in the Coffs Harbour Botanic Gardens, and the ceremony was officiated by Civil Celebrant Catherine Campbell. It was a lovely ceremony, and Jacqui made it through despite looking like she was going to cry with joy the whole way through - well done Jacqui!

 

After the ceremony it was off to the Jetty for some shots by the water. We travelled in style on the way in a lovely old classic car.

Jacqui's amazing gown was from Tall Poppies Wedding World in Coffs Harbour.

This weekend was also the last weekend that the Carnival was in town. Well you can imagine that I'm always on the lookout for a great photo opportunity, and one rule I know is that carnival = fun = great photos!

 

Jacqui's also lucky to have two engagement rings - as well as her normal one she received Ben's Grandmother's ring to wear as well! Bling Bling!

The bridal party also had a blast! Don't the girls look great - I'm loving the parasols!

Then it was off to the Coffs Harbour Surf Club which had been decorated by Sharon and Michael from  Beautiful Weddings, and looked great.  The surf club is actually a fantastic location for a reception - it's a good size, the food is great, and it overlooks the ocean.

Jodi and Jonny's wedding at Aanuka Beach Resort!

The first time we met Jodi she came to the studio together with her Mum and Dad, as well as her Aunt. With such a big crowd we certainly felt under scrutiny, and that was before we discovered that her father John was actually a professional photographer! However, Jodi loved our work, and with Dad's professional "ok" she booked on the spot.

Saturday was the big day, and as usual when we arrived we started with some detail shots. I love being creative with these, and the chance to get a shoe shot and a ring shot at the same time can't be passed up! What a classy ring and what awesome shoes!

Jodi looked absolutely beautiful, with hair by Anna from Hair Artistry, and makeup by Blush. Her flowers were from the lovely Kelly at Flowers on First in Sawtell.

Jodi's gorgeous dress was from Strictly Bridal, in Robina, Queensland.

Jonny looked great in a white linen suit, and white shirt.

Jodi and Jonny are lovers of nature and the outdoors, and as a result they had decided to have their ceremony on the lawns of Aanuka Beach Resort, surrounded by the beautiful gardens and overlooking the ocean. The decorations for the ceremony and the reception room were from Sharon and Michael at Beautiful Weddings and Event Styling, and looked great!

The rain held off for the start of the ceremony but half way through the heavens opened, and rain started to fall! Jodi and Jonny took it all in their stride, and in fact treated it all as fun!

Thankfully the shower was brief, and afterwards we took some photos on the Aanuka grounds before walking down to beautiful Diggers Beach for some more shots.

The bridal party were with us and we had some fun!
